This is the first proper Painted Romans album. At the time we were a three-piece, all of us formerly members of Wallpaper Silhouettes. The songs were recorded in various places in and around the town of Trondheim. We chose to release it as a hybrid digital-physical format, meaning you had to obtain a fully coloured, double sided and folded poster that had all the information about the album, liner notes, and song lyrics. It also had a unique ID code that you could register on our website and thus gain access to three different formats: flac, mp3, and ogg. Bandcamp would go on and popularize this kind of format freedom of choice, but in 2008 this was not a typical way of releasing music. Thus despite wonderful reviews it generated more confusion than sales! Included in the download here is the original poster in pdf format. We played three executive dates upon its release, and you will find a couple of recordings from those shows have been released on the singles 'The Mercy Beat' and 'Breathing Secondhand Air'.
